Instagram Profile Picture Viewer
See an Instagram profile photo at full size instead of the small circle. It works for private accounts too, because the profile photo is always public.
Why the circle is so small
Instagram shows profile photos as small circles and, in most places, gives you no way to open a bigger version. The circle also crops the corners of a square photo, which can cut off part of the picture.
Instagram also serves a larger copy of each profile photo. This tool opens that copy, square and uncropped, and lets you save it.
How it works
Paste the username
Enter the handle or the profile link. Private accounts work too, because the photo is public.
Open the profile
The profile page shows the photo in its usual circle, next to the name and follower counts.
Open the photo
Tap the circle to see the full-size version, square and uncropped, then use the download button to save it.
About image quality
The full-size photo is the largest version Instagram makes available, usually several times the size of the circle in the app. It can't be sharper than what the account uploaded, so a small or heavily compressed original will still look soft.
Only the current photo is available. Instagram doesn't keep earlier profile photos anywhere public.

Questions
Does this work on private accounts?
Yes. A private account hides its posts and stories, but the profile photo is public, so it opens at full size like any other.
Will they know I viewed their photo?
No. Instagram doesn't record who looks at profile photos or profiles, and this site doesn't tell anyone either.
Why does the photo look blurry?
The full-size version can only be as sharp as the photo the account uploaded. Some accounts upload small images, and those stay small.
Can I see an old profile photo?
No. Only the current photo is available. Once someone changes it, the previous one isn't public anymore.
Can I save the profile picture?
Yes. The download button in the photo viewer saves it as a JPG to your phone or computer.
What size is the full-size photo?
It depends on what the account uploaded. You get the largest version Instagram serves, which is usually several times the size of the circle in the app.
Do I need an Instagram account?
No. There is nothing to sign up for, nothing to install, and we never ask for an Instagram username or password.
