Instagram Viewer

Look through a public Instagram profile, its posts and reels without signing in. The Instagram app needs an account and the website asks you to log in after a few taps. This doesn't.

A whole profile, one page

Each profile page puts everything public in one place, so you don't have to tap through tabs or dismiss login prompts.

  • Profile details: name, bio, link, and post, follower and following counts.
  • Stories and highlights: loaded when you ask for them and played full screen.
  • Recent posts and reels: the latest twelve, each with its date, caption and like and comment counts.
  • Activity summary: how often the account posts, which days it tends to post on, and the hashtags it uses most.

The numbers, explained

Engagement rate

The average number of likes and comments on the account's recent posts, divided by its follower count. It shows how much of an audience actually reacts, which says more than follower count alone.

Posts per week

Worked out from the dates of the recent posts. An account that posted twelve times over six weeks averages two posts a week.

Follower history

For accounts we update regularly, each update records the follower count, so you can see how it has moved over time.

Why Instagram asks you to log in

Instagram lets logged-out visitors see a small part of a public profile on the web, then covers the page with a sign-up prompt. Stories and highlights need an account from the start, even on public profiles.

This site shows the same public information without those prompts. It can't show more than Instagram makes public.

Questions

Does Instagram tell people who viewed their profile?

No. Instagram has no profile-visitor list, for anyone. Only story viewers are recorded, and viewing stories here doesn't add you to that list either.

Do I need an Instagram account?

No. There is nothing to sign up for, nothing to install, and we never ask for an Instagram username or password.

Can I see who an account follows?

No. Follower and following lists are only shown to logged-in Instagram users, so this site shows the counts but not the lists.

Can I read the comments on a post?

The comment count is shown for each post, but not the comments themselves.

Can I search by name instead of username?

You need the username, the handle after the @. If you only know someone's name, these are the quickest ways to find it.

Can I watch reels here?

Yes. Reels appear among the latest posts, marked with a play icon, and open in the same player as stories.

Can I see a private account?

Only the parts Instagram shows publicly: the name, profile photo, bio and follower counts. Stories, highlights and posts on a private account are shown only to followers the owner approved, and no website can get around that.

Why private viewers don't work

Is there a limit?

Loading a profile or its stories for the first time costs us a request to Instagram, so each visitor can make a limited number of those per day. Anything someone looked up in the last few minutes, or a profile loaded in the last day, opens without counting.
